This year, Team Humble Beast is walking in the GREAT STRIDES walk at the 2012 Tempe – Valley of the Sun, Tempe Beach Park walk on 04/22/2012. This Lent, join us for Relentless ACT:S of Sacrifice—a series of creative challenges to explore
what it looks like to put others before ourselves in our day-to-day lives.
Together, we’ll discover how acts of sacrifice can reorient our everyday lives and ultimately ignite
movements among our generation to connect faith and justice.
Sign-up and find some friends to join in the adventure with you. Change seems most attainable when
we step out of our comfort zones together!

Here are the 6 challenges we’ll be doing together:
WEEK 1: Sacrifice what surrounds you
WEEK 2: Sacrifice what feeds you
WEEK 3: Sacrifice what describes you
WEEK 4: Sacrifice what calls you
WEEK 5: Sacrifice what consumes you
WEEK 6: Share your sacrifice with others

We can’t wait to begin this journey with you and explore what it will look like for us to sacrifice together!
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating,
going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.
Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your
culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed
from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture
around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops
well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2
